Ringers Western once again presents Ekka's Country Music Showdown which has helped launch the careers of up and coming country artists for the past six years.
Musicians aged 12 years and over will have the ultimate music experience, performing two songs to Ekka crowds backed by Brisbane band, Southwest.
The Country Music Showdown will be held on Saturday 17 August at XXXX Stockmen's Bar and Grill and will offer more than $20,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
The prizes to be won are a Taramalin Sound Recording Package and $1,500 cash prize for competitors in the Open Category (18 years and older) and an Ekka scholarship to the Tamworth Academy of Country Music 2020 and $500 cash prize for those in the Junior Category (12 to 17 years).
Judges this year are Dan Briddle - Chairman, Country Music Association of Australia; Johnno Keetels - PR & Media Manager, Universal Music Australis; Jess Anderson - Founder & Director, Hometown Fest; Alethea Beetson - Artist & Producer; and Casey Barnes - Country Music Artist.
